We are Social Detectives @ Alternatives ABA
SUMMER Groups held Thursdays from 9:45-10:30 AM
FALL Groups held on Thursdays from 4:00-4:45 PM
This social skills program is run by our talented speech & language pathologists and behavior analysts. It is designed for individuals ages 4-7 (and older individuals with pragmatic (social) language skill deficits/difficulties) to teach and foster the development of the skills necessary for appropriate and successful social interactions with others. The curriculum uses explicit and repetitive teaching of targeted social behaviors and provides individuals with the opportunity to practice the skills for appropriate social interactions in a supportive group environment. Individuals will learn to be good ‘Social Detectives’ by using their eyes, ears, and brains to figure out what others are planning to do next or are presently doing and what they mean by their words and actions.
*If your child requires 1:1 assistance, please arrange for the 1:1 to accompany your child to the group. (Examples: Child has IEP at school and has 1:1 assistance, child receives 1:1 intensive ABA services.)
*Snow Policy: If school is cancelled in Norwell, class will be cancelled and a make up class offered at the end of the 6 week session.
